METRO 2039 World
The map of METRO 2039 is not a full Metro schematic you can screenshot from a loading screen. It is a folio, a handful of named places, and a studio that dresses every room like a crime scene. These pages collect the geography we can defend, then send you to the guides that keep you alive while you walk it.
A notebook, not an atlas
Map notes explain the folio: handwritten jobs, no laser waypoint, compass on the bracer. Sevastopolskaya is the first named station in the Renegade trailer, a shelter with a Novoreich infection. Surface is the thawing city that still bills you in filters. Tunnels are the spine between those two. Mutants are why a pretty crossing is still a tax. Together they are the 2039 triangle: hub, tunnel, street.
4A’s Frozen Stories idea matters more than a pin. Director Andriy Shevchenko talks about environments that remember what happened. Xbox Wire felt it immediately: people at work, kids playing shootout, a station that behaves like a place. When you leave that place, the world goes predatory. How to play is the loop. This hub is the scenery the loop uses.
Veterans asking “which line are we on?” will not get a complete 2033-style network graphic from us until 4A publishes one. We will not trace fan-made line maps onto 2039 and call them official. Named, shown, sourced — or it waits.
Why geography is a survival skill
A wrong boulevard is a filter. A wrong stair is a family of moles. A right pharmacy is another hour of air. Read survival before you treat the surface as a photo mode. Read combat before you treat every tunnel as a shooting gallery. The world pages tell you where. The guides tell you how expensive where is.

Frequently asked questions
+ Is there a full interactive METRO 2039 map?
Not from 4A. Our map page describes the in-game folio and named locations, not a fake Google overlay.
+ Does the game stay underground?
No. Official copy and previews mix tunnels, stations and irradiated surface streets.
+ Which station is the hub?
Sevastopolskaya is the first named hub. Other settlements appear in previews without a public roster.
