Sevastopolskaya Station
Sevastopolskaya is the first station 4A bothered to name in a gameplay trailer, which in Metro language means it matters. It is a roof against the irradiated world and a room already owned by Hunter’s posters. You will buy here, listen here, and leave here with a worse feeling than when you arrived.
A shelter that talks like a warning
The Renegade trailer’s English lines are the tourist brochure. Someone asks what brought The Stranger. He needs information, he is looking for someone. The local says he has come to the wrong place: Novoreich spread across the station like a plague. Then the camera shows you the plague — banners, watchmen, a crowd that still drinks and argues under it.
4A’s blog text adds function. It is from here that The Stranger uncovers information about his target and prepares for the journey. That is hub language. Craft, shop, listen, save, hatch. How to play is the generic version. This page is the named one. Novoreich is the political version. You need all three before you treat the vendors as a safe menu.
IGN could not die inside the NPC-filled starting station of the preview. That safety is a contract with a door. The moment the backpack is on and the logbook is marked, the contract ends. Do your crafting at the bench. Seat a fresh filter. Then go looking for Kaban, Hunter, or whoever the folio named this time.
What “lived-in” costs you
Xbox Wire lingered on children playing at guns, workers, people who speak if you approach. That warmth is the Frozen Story of a community that has already lost the argument with the regime. It is also a stealth tutorial: if the hub feels human, the halls outside will feel human too, and they will shoot. Combat starts when the crowd thins.
Some players will want a Crimean political essay because of the station’s name. This wiki reports what 4A showed in English: a Metro hub under occupation. Campaign writers can load a name with history without this page inventing a cutscene. When a retail subtitle makes a claim, we will quote it. Until then, stay with the footage.
Hub checklist
Talk until rumours repeat. Metro NPCs hide crafts in sentences. Visit the armorer energy of the gear desk: attachments belong on a bench, not in a puddle. Flip the folio. Mark the logbook. Count knives. If the watch is already low inside a “safe” station, you are doing the ritual in the wrong order.
When you return — if you return — spend. Do not hoard chemicals through a second surface crossing because the number looks pretty. Items exist to be burned. Sevastopolskaya exists to refill the burn.
- Information — rumours about Hunter’s men, including Kaban in previews.
- Services — shops and benches described as present, prices TBA.
- Safety — NPC hub, death-free in at least one preview slice.
- Threat — Novoreich as atmosphere and as armed watchmen on the fringe.
- Exit — hatch to tunnels and surface.

Frequently asked questions
+ Is Sevastopolskaya the only hub?
It is the first named one. Preview offices and settlements may be the same station or cousins. Wait for a roster.
+ Can I fight inside the station?
The trailer implies occupation, not a massacre playground. Preview safety in NPC streets suggests combat starts after the hatch.
+ Does the station sell filters?
Shopkeepers exist in previews. Inventories are unpublished. Craft spares anyway; see crafting.
+ Why does the trailer say I came to the wrong place?
Because the regime got there first. The Stranger still has to work here. That tension is the hub.
